for those who are curious-

I was born and raised in the wonderful San Diego, CA and moved up to Oregon about nine years ago for nursing school. After graduating, I got a job working as an ER nurse and have been there ever since. I am so grateful for all that my job teaches me and I appreciate the opportunity it provides to care for my community. I even met the love of my whole, darn life there!

Photography is a relatively new endeavor in my life, as I finally have the time to dedicate to learning and practicing. I wasn't born with a camera in my hand, nor do I come from an extensive lineage of photographers, but freezing a happy moment in time has always been something that brings joy to my heart. (If you asked me previously, I would have considered myself a professional iPhone photographer, if such a thing existed.)

Often times, my job as a nurse consists of me providing care to humans on their worst days. Some might find that depressing, but I find it to be the greatest privilege. With that being said, I find that capturing love and happiness through photography to be the most exquisite contrast. The families, friends and couples I have the privilege of working with have brought so much light into my world, I hope to return the same energy.

So far in my photography journey, I have fallen in love with family and newborn sessions. A parent's love for their babies is palpable during these shoots. But as I said before, there isn't a style of photography that I haven't adored. Whatever you might be looking for, I hope we get to create it together.
